MEADVILLE — Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Tina M. Freehling, 26, of 278 Prospect St., Meadville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of theft by unlawful taking. Meadville police filed the charge for an incident on Aug. 19. She was released on her own recognizance.

-Justin W. Hamill, 19, of 21469 Valle Drive, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of theft of services and theft by deception. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 18. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Camryn A. Shiner, 19, of 209 Diamond Alley, Irwin, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 29. He was released from Crawford County jail on $30,000 bond.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Edward L. Smith III, 25, of Centerville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols and bound over to the next term of court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Aug. 29 in Oil Creek Township. He was released on $20,000 unsecured bond.

n Christopher J. Sullivan, 26, of Centerville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of simple assault and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 23 in Athens Township. He was released from Crawford County jail on $5,000 bond.

-Cody L. Shepard, 22, of Titusville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of receiving stolen property, theft by deception, criminal attempt and theft by unlawful taking. Titusville police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 10. He was released on his own recognizance.

-David A. Kapellusch, 34, of Titusville, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on charges of bad checks and theft by deception. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on July 24 in Rome Township. He was placed in Crawford County jail on $7,500 bond.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Christopher P. Maynard, 39, of 4611 Hoffman Lane, Cochranton, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and bound over to the next term of court on charges of retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on June 19. He was released on his own recognizance.

-John Abramoski, 27, of 709 Pineview Drive, Edinboro, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of retail theft. Vernon Township police filed the charge for an incident on Oct. 17. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Brandy L. Lonyo, 26, of 19792 Forest Green Drive, Meadville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on June 19. She was released on her own recognizance.



Crashes

State Police

-State police attempted to stop a vehicle at 2:15 a.m. on Dec. 5 on Little Cooley Road at the intersection of Range Road in Bloomfield Township after the driver committed numerous traffic violations. The driver fled at a high rate of speed, and after a short pursuit, traveled off the roadway and crashed. The driver immediately exited and fled the scene on foot. An investigation is ongoing.

-John M. McLaughlin, 36, of Cambridge Springs was driving north on Plank Road in Venango Township at 3:52 p.m. on Dec. 6 when he steered off the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck a tree before coming to a final rest approximately 50 feet off the roadway. McLaughlin was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

-Edward L. Williamson, 64, of Guys Mills, was driving east on East Oil Creek Road at 2:48 p.m. on Dec. 7 when he lost control due to ice and traveled off the south side of the roadway, struck an embankment and then a small tree. Williamson was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
