Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

n Rodney A. Aylsworth, 32, of 238 Maple St., Edinboro, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on Pennsylvania State Police charges of two counts of driving under the influence, one count of immediate notice of accident to police and three other summary traffic offenses for an incident April 7 and was released on his own recognizance.

Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

n Joseph Anthony Steadman, 22, of 771 Park Ave., Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday before Meadville Area Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on Meadville Police Department charges of one count each of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for a March 30 incident and was released on his own recognizance.

n Brian Jude Cieleski, 32, of Dubois was arraigned Thursday before Chisholm on city police charges of one count of driving under the influence for a third or more offenses, and three summary traffic offenses for a March 5 incident and was committed to Crawford County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

State Police

n Someone driving a Corry man’s truck north at a high rate of speed at the intersection of Route 89 and Earnest Road in Sparta Township at 1:20 a.m. May 19 lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide off the road and strike an embankment and several large rocks. The driver fled the scene without providing information as required by state law.

n Cindy J. Campbell, 43, of New Castle, was driving east at an apparent high rate of speed on Route 198 in Hayfield Town-ship around noon May 31 when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to travel off the road, strike a guardrail and flip over and subsequently roll down an embankment and into Cusse-wago Creek. Campbell sustained minor injuries. Hayfield Central Hose Co. No. 1 Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene. Summary charges are pending.
