Magisterial District Judge
n David K. Wike, 27, of 21409 Boyle Road, Cochranton, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of driving under the influence and four summary counts filed by Pennsylvania State Police for an incident April 18 in Greenwood Township. He was returned to the Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $5,000 bond.
n Michael J. Cooper, 28, of 12632 Faust Road, Conneaut Lake, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI and two summary counts filed by state police for an incident Feb. 24, 2006, in Vernon Township. He was placed in county jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled May 19.
n Mark C. Macey, 27, of 1970 Mills Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on Vernon Township Police Department charges of one count each of theft by deception, receiving stolen property and writing a bad check, and one summary traffic offense, for an incident Feb. 8 and was released on $30,000 bond.
n Christopher D. Uhlig, 18, of 276 North Foster, Jackson Center, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Vernon police charges of one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property for an incident March 18 and was released on his own recognizance.

n A Jamestown woman is facing criminal mischief charges filed by Jamestown police after she allegedly took scrap from a store on North Street in Jamestown.
n A number of tools, chain saws and a radiator were removed from a company vehicle May 6 or 7 at Jamestown Tree Service on Kinsman Road in Jamestown. Anyone with information is asked to contact James-town police at (724) 932-3836.
n Police are investigating criminal mischief that occurred at a business on Liberty Street, Jamestown, when a dawn-to-dusk light was broken. Other damage was reported at buildings of another business between May 6 and 7 when windows were broken. Anyone with information is asked to call (724) 932-3836.
n Two male juveniles were cited for criminal mischief for an incident that occurred April 28 at 5 p.m. at a Jamestown business. A vending machine and surveillance equipment were tampered with and damage totaling $71 was reported.
n A Saegertown man had a satellite radio and a GPS unit stolen from his vehicle while it was parked behind the Woodcock Township Building sometime between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 3. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact PSP at 332-6911.
n Someone entered a shed at a Woodcock Township woman’s home on Horseshoe Road between Sept. 1, 2007, and May 5 and removed the safety bar for a lawnmower.
n Someone cut a chain that secured two canoes along Sleepy Hollow Road in Wood-cock Township and removed the two canoes between April 15 and May 6. The canoes were owned by a Mill Village man.
n An unidentified man took a laptop computer from the electronics department at Wal-Mart in Oil Creek Township at 8:20 p.m. May 7. The white man is described as being in his 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a brown jacket with jeans and a black hat. He drove from the store in a gold-color four-door mid-sized sedan.
n A known Fredonia man allegedly shot a turkey on a Hadley man’s property off Laver Road in Vernon Township at 6:39 a.m. April 26 without permission to be on the property.
n Someone used a BB gun to damage the rear window on a Spring Township man’s car parked at his home on Tower Road and damaged the front door at the man’s home between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 7.
n Someone broke into a Pittsburgh man’s summer home in South Shenango Township on Mohawk Drive between 2 p.m. Dec. 28, 2007, and 1 p.m. May 6 and removed various bottles of whiskey.
n A known juvenile became disorderly at a Bloomfield Township home on Mt. Pleasant Road at 5:30 p.m. May 6 and damaged walls and window trim.
n A known Conneautville man allegedly harassed a Springboro man for creating dust from driving a triaxle dump truck along Partch Road in Beaver Township between 6:30 and 6:30 p.m. May 5.

City Police
n An unlocked car was entered in the Meadville Area Senior High School student parking lot May 5 between 7:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. and the stereo system was removed.
n A Park Avenue tenant left rent and utility money in an envelope attached to the exterior of the entry door to her apartment May 3 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It is alleged that someone took the envelope with cash before a representative of the landlord arrived to pick it up.
n The sign in the front yard of a Park Avenue business was pulled out of the ground and broken in half on April 19. On April 30, a wicker chair was taken from the front porch of the same business.

State Police
n There were no injuries in a one-car crash on Interstate 79 in Hayfield Township at 10:54 p.m. May 4. Stephanie Domitrovich, 54, of Erie, was driving north when her car struck a deer. Domitrovich was wearing a seatbelt.
n There were no injuries in a one-car crash on Interstate 79 in Vernon Township recently. Sarah E. Cosner, 20, of Oakland, Md., was driving north on the interstate in a construction zone when the right tires on her car went onto the berm. Cosner lost control of car attempting to bring it back onto the road. Her auto struck a concrete barrier and then struck a guardrail. Cosner and a passenger, Elizabeth Thayer, 20, of Oakland, both were wearing seatbelts.
