City police

n A car driven by Clara Jane Sliker, 49, of 1133 S. Main St., Meadville, failed to stop for a steady red light at the Poplar Street intersection while traveling north on South Main Street on Sunday at 8:59 a.m. and struck the passenger side of a pickup truck driven by Kyle M. Learn, 17, of 21108 Shore Drive, Meadville, which was traveling east on Poplar. Both vehicles sustained minor damages; no injuries were reported.

n Sport utility vehicles owned by Steve Kelly of 5847 Brian Drive, Bethel Park, and Charles B. Haylett, 72, of 220539 Grange Center Road, Saegertown, were both legally parked on Market Street near Center Street recently. While pulling out of the parking space, the vehicle driven by Haylett struck Kelly’s vehicle and then left the scene without providing identifying information.

n A pickup truck driven by Steven A. Schlipf, 48, of 718 Terrace St., Meadville, was southbound on Terrace Street at 10:49 a.m. April 29. After stopping at the stop sign at the intersection with Spring Street, Schlipf entered the intersection without proper clearance and his truck was stuck by a minivan driven by Desilene A. Phillips, 53, of 19296 S. Center St., Conneautville, which was eastbound on Spring Street and had the right of way. No injuries were reported.

n A sport utility vehicle driven by Robert J. Rossi, 61, of 9447 Franklin St., Meadville, was traveling north on Liberty Street at 3:39 p.m. April 24 when it proceeded to turn left at the stop sign onto Randolph Street and struck a car driven by Melvin Eugene Simons Jr., 18635 Jay Drive, Saegertown, which was traveling west on Randolph and had the right of way. No injuries were reported.
