GUYS MILLS — Paul L. Bleasdale Jr., 54, of Guys Mills, passed away over to his Lord Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at Meadville Medical Center with his wife, Vickie, by his side.

He was born in Meadville May 7, 1953, a son of Paul L. Bleasdale and Leda Lucille Lang Bleasdale. He married Vickie Ridgeway July 1, 1972.

He was a self-employed toolmaker for the past nine years, and has been in the tool and die industry since graduating in 1971 from Meadville High School and Crawford County Area Vocational-Technical School.

He was a Scout master for Boy Scout Troop 215 for several years and attended the National Jamboree in Virginia with his son, Ron, and many boys from the district. He followed NASCAR racing and the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team, and was a woodworking hobbyist.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Vickie Bleasdale of Guys Mills; a son, Ron Bleasdale and his wife, Florence, of Meadville; two sisters, Lynne Kasemer and her husband, Gregory, of Saegertown, and Beverly Ferguson and her husband, Dave, of Jamestown; his three precious grandchildren, Lucille Rose, Jason Paul and Vincent Jonathon Andrew; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Walter Ridgeway of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Kim Foust and her husband, Harry; three brothers-in-law, Scott Ridgeway and his wife, Marcy, Mark Ridgeway and his wife, Brenda, and Doug Ridgeway; a sister-in-law, Kelli Baker and her husband, Royce; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Culberston officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Crawford Unit, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
