HARRISBURG — Skeet, trap fields

open Tuesdays

BLACK ASH — The skeet and trap shooting fields at Black Ash Sportsman Club are open each Tuesday evening until Aug. 27 for skeet and trap practice. Shooting hours are from 6 p.m. to sunset.

This is not a league program and nonmembers of Black Ash Sportsman are invited to participate. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for new participants to learn about shooting skeet and trap. Free instruction is available for new shooters. The cost is $3.50 for a round of 25 targets. Shooters must provide their own firearms and ammunition.

No advance registration is required. Black Ash Sportsman Club is located at 8410 Clark Road, Guys Mills.

Public trap practice

SAEGERTOWN — The Saegertown Sportsmen’s Club is holding open-to-the-public trap practice on Sundays from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

There will be no shoots on the third Sundays of the month.

Weekly sporting clays

CONNEAUT LAKE — The Conneaut Lake Sportmens Association continues its weekly sporting clays shoots on Tuesday.

All shoots start at 6 p.m. and end at sunset, weather permitting. The club shoots every Tuesday through September. Members and non-members are welcome to participate.

Lake Association

hosts member drive

WESTFORD — The Pymatuning Lake Association is conducting a membership drive. Dues are based on a calendar year — January through December.

A business membership is $25 and an individual membership is $10 annually. Membership forms are available at PymatuningLake.com. A portion of the dues goes directly into the Habitat Fund for the preservation of Pymatuning Lake.

Mail a completed form along with a check payable to Pymatuning Lake Association, P.O. Box 78, Westford, Pa. 16134-5078. The 2013 membership card will be mailed the month of July acknowledging payment of 2013 dues along with the association’s fall newsletter.
