Sue Kilburn of Meadville was diagnosed in 2005 with Breast Cancer. A lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation was the treatment dor her and approaching five years later, she is still cancer - free. I am healed and recovered and back at super speed. What I have never addressed nor felt the need for was a prosthesis. Why, I don’t know, it is just a divot, that is what I have — a divot.

I guess it is that maybe 90% of the trips I have made to Pittsburgh have been cancer related.

Chemo is different than radiation.
Chemo, the time passes and you are not so restricted that you cannot pick up a book or, listen to your IPOD or watch a TV show or even talk to someone.

First of all, I have been blessed with a wonderful sister and the best friend in the world.
They have both put up with me for a lot of years, and really my best friend had once been my boss.

Hmmm, food used to be a big diversion for me, it was my friend and support but with cancer it no longer gives me the comfort it once did.

The anticipation of what lies ahead and seeing it sitting right there beside me is disconcerting.

Duke is not the beans dog but he is my dog.
He is a beautiful 65 pound Golden retriever that is a gentle spirit and a big fraidy cat. He is not the Alpha male - my Cavalier that is about 30 pounds and a year younger dominates the Golden. Duke has always needed hugs, pats and loads of love and eventually attached himself to my youngest son.
