James Edward Fox, 92, of Juniper Village, Meadville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center after a one-week illness.
He was born in New Galey on July 18, 1920, a son of Harry M. Fox and Gladys Graham Fox.
James was a laborer at Meadville Malleable and Carnation Milk Co., and a janitor at Edinboro State College. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
He was of the Methodist faith. He loved watching western movies, eating ice cream and meal time at Juniper village and visits with his family.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Lipps of Conneaut Lake; a son, J. Ed Fox of Utica; three grandchildren, Dr. Michael Lipps and his wife, Jennifer, of Harmonsburg, Stephen Lipps of Conneaut Lake, and Gaia Fox of Pittsburgh; his former wife, Ruth Fox of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Jonathan Lipps and Storm Fox; and his second wife, Doris Pearl Fox.
