SHARPSVILLE — Mr. Randy Bress of Sharpsville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at 5:27 p.m. in his home following a sudden illness. He was 58 years old.

Mr. Bress was born on May 17, 1955, in Havre de Grace, Md., to his parents Jerrold Bress and Roberta Simons Bress. He graduated from Havre de Grace High School in 1973 and continued his education at the University of Maryland then earning a certification as a Nurse Anesthetist from Shadyside School of Nursing Anesthesia in 1981.

On Oct. 14, 1984, he married his wife, Heather Rust Bress, who survives at home. Mr. Bress worked hard in field of anesthesia, having been employed at several hospitals and most recently serving as vice chief of anesthesia at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio. He also spent much of his time mentoring students in the field of anesthesia.

Mr. Bress was also strong in his faith and a pillar of the Jewish community. He was a member and past-president of the former Temple Beth Israel of Sharon, where he taught religious school for many years; and most recently a member of the Congregation Rodef Sholom, Youngstown, Ohio. He also enjoyed traveling to new places or to see family and friends and was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Mr. Bress is survived by his wife, Heather, at home, three sons; Zachary Bress of Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan, David Bress of Sharpsville and Eli Bress of Sharpsville; two brothers; Barry Bress and his wife, Theresa, of Baltimore, Md.; Kevin Bress and his wife, Lisa, of Baltimore; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 11 am at Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 555 E. State St., Sharon, with Rabbi Frank Muller of the Congregation Rodef Sholom, Youngstown, Ohio, officiating.

Burial will take place at the Temple Beth Israel Cemetery, Hermitage.
