COCHRANTON — Joseph Pete, 93, of Pine Street, Cochranton, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville.

Born May 20, 1920, in West Virginia, he was a son of Frank and Elizabeth Pete. He married Florence Rowene Hollabaugh on Sept. 6, 1952, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 2011.

Joe had several jobs, including working for Schnarr’s Construction, WL Dunn Construction and for Greendale Cemetery. He retired from Amcast in Meadville.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and spending time with his granddaughters.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Pete and his wife, Chris, of Cochranton; two granddaughters, Samantha and Breanna; a sister, Mary Ringer of Mercer; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Pete Jr., Albert Pete and Paul Pete; and a sister, Betty Ferraro.

Friends will be received at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., with the Rev. J. Harvey Boal of Cochranton Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
