CONNEAUTVILLE — Jacqueline Helmbreck Lascek, 90, of Conneautville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community.

She was born July 17, 1923, to the late Arthur L. Helmbreck and Gladys Seavy Helmbreck. She married John M. Lascek on Valentine’s Day in 1946; he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2003.

She was a devout Christian who was an active member of the United Church of Beaver Center. She enjoyed sharing inspirational readings with her church during Sunday services.

Jacqueline retired after 20 years from Astatic Co. in Conneaut, Ohio. For many years she was a member and president of the Springboro Garden Club. She was known for her pies, deviled eggs and Jell-O desserts. In her free time, she enjoyed attending church functions and gardening. She was extremely fond of her cats, especially Muffy, who survives.

She is survived by her twin brother, Arthur Jack Helmbreck and his wife, Dorothy; her brother, Austin L. Helmbreck and his wife, Josephine; nieces, Judy A. Bortnick and Lisa Helmbreck; nephew, John Helmbreck; several great-nieces and nephews; many great-great-nieces and nephews; and several close friends and neighbors.

Donations can be made in her memory to the United Church of Beaver Center, 3434 Beaver St., Springboro, Pa. 16435; or the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. with a funeral ceremony immediately following at White-Cool Funeral Home, Funeral Director Gina M. McCauley, 1405 Main St., Conneautville. The Rev. Gerald Devine of the United Church of Beaver Center will officiate.
