Lois M. Gladis, 92, of Meadville, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Erie, a daughter of the late George J. and Petronilla E. (Johnson) Callahan. She married Vincent P. Gladis on April 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2001.
She attended Erie East High School, and retired as an inspector from Talon Inc., Meadville.
Lois was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed her family and traveling. The joy and laughter she brought to family gatherings will be missed by all.
She is survived by two daughters, Jayne Marie Benham and her husband, Alan, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ann Louise Hays and her husband, Jerry, of Gulfport, Fla.; two sons, Tim Gladis and his wife, Joyce, of Hermitage, and V. Patrick Gladis and his wife, Debbie, of Meadville; and her daughter-in-law, Darlene Bulger of Meadville. She also is survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren she treasured.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Lois was preceded in death by a son, Richard B. Bulger, on Sept. 11, 2004; and her brother, Paul R. Callahan of Houston, Texas.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
