COCHRANTON — Clara Elizabeth Yoder of 26349 Brunot Corners, Cochranton, went to be with her Savior at her home on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 30, 1935, to the late Jacob A. and Lizzie Ellen Miller of Burton, Ohio. On April 1, 1958, she married Ervin T. Yoder; he survives.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish church.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her children, Wilma Yoder of the home, Nelson (Mary) Yoder of Cochranton, Laura (John) Weaver of Moore, Mont., Ervin (Lydia) Yoder of Ossineke, Mich., Timothy (Anna) Yoder of Evart, Mich., Esther (Jacob) Weaver of Cochranton, Joanna (Jacob) Hershberger of Ossineke, Clara Beth Yoder of the home, Toby (Esther) Yoder and Mark (Rebecca) Yoder, all of Cochranton; 41 grandchildren; a brother, Nelson; three sisters, Esther Miller, Katie (Eli) Yoder and Nora (Robert) Miller, all of Burton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jacob.

Clara loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible, singing and the fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was known for her hospitality and good home cooking. For a number of years she sold baked goods at the Meadville Market House where she made many friends. She and her husband had operated a dairy farm in Cochranton.

Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Nelson Yoder residence, 8115 Frenchtown Road, Cochranton. Viewing is today and Wednesday from 1:30 to 5 and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m., with Bishop Joseph Gingerich officiating.

Burial will take place in Frenchtown Amish Cemetery, Guys Mills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
