MEADVILLE — Margo A. McElhattan, 62, of Meadville and formerly of Oil City, died at 11:23 a.m. Thursday Sept. 5, 2013, at Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 22, 1950, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Marjorie Gross McElhattan.

Margo attended Cranberry schools.

She had worked as a caregiver.

Margo enjoyed doing crafts, collecting ceramics, baking and when able she volunteered for her church and for Relay for Life.

She enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Cocoa Wheat.

She is survived by three sisters and their husbands, Carla and Gary Cochran of Oil City, Mary and Gary Parson of Oil City and Barb and Rick Coast of Barkeyville; her special friend and caregiver, Amy Hurd and her husband, John; and many friends in Meadville. Numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Stan McElhattan.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in Reinsel Funeral Home, 116 Bissell Ave., Oil City. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Mark Rusnak presiding.

Interment will be held at a later date.
