MEADVILLE — Nina R. Bell, 94, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of 7945 Franklin Pike, Meadville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

Nina was born in Scio, Ohio, on Dec. 8, 1918, a daughter of the late Paul and Pearle McClure Hendren.

On March 23, 1940, Nina married Kenneth E. Bell; he preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2011.

She was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church, Meadville.

After many years of service, Nina retired from Crawford Central School District where she had been employed as a secretary at Meadville High School. She was a 1936 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. An exceptional cook, Nina enjoyed being a homemaker.

Nina is survived by a son, Gene Bell and his wife, Sandra, two grandchildren, Greg Bell and Michael Bell, and four great-grandchildren River, Maya, Marcus, Micah, all of Morocco, Ind.; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Kenneth, of 71 years, Nina was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Hendren and Tom Hendren; and three sisters, Blanche Feeney, Lyda Blauser and Mary Felmle.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Goodnough, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will take place in Mumford Cemetery, Fairfield Township.
