She was a volunteer at the Good Shepherd Center, Greenville, and was a member of the Friendly Club and the Mary Jane Rebekah Lodge. She was a familiar figure in the Sheakleyville community and had helped for many years with the Sheakleyville Volunteer Fire Department annual Homecoming celebration.
