YOUNGSVILLE — Rev. D. Sprugeon Witherow, 87, of Mill Street in Youngsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday morning, March 24, 2013.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1925.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lucille Causer Witherow, whom he married June 5, 1947, in Duke Center; a daughter, Dorothy L. Linton and her husband, Dale, of Utica; two sons, Terry Witherow and his wife, Kim, and Mark Witherow and his wife, Heather, both of Erie; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville, and for one hour prior to a funeral that will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 18 Second St. in Youngsville, with the Rev. Annette Gerber, pastor, and the Rev. Thomas Strandburg, Kane District superintendent, co-officiating.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren.

Members of the Warren County Disabled American Veterans will conduct their Call to Fallen Comrades ceremony at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Evangelical United Methodist Church, 18 Second St., Youngsville, Pa. 16371; or to a charity of choice.
