Rosabell Marie McAdoo, 93, formerly of Albion, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West where she has been residing.
She was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Derry Township, a daughter of the late Gawin and Rosabell (Lyons) DeVinney.
Rosabell was a member of the Keepville Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was very active, being bookkeeper, pianist, as well as many other roles throughout the years.
She enjoyed watching baseball and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert McAdoo, on Nov. 8, 1984; two sons, Albert McAdoo and William McAdoo; a brother, Raymond DeVinney; and two sisters, Myra and Ethel.
Rosabell is survived by four children, Jean Sappington and her, husband, Joseph, of Fairview, Betty Clark and her husband, John, of Baltimore, Md., Doris Hunter and her husband, Tom, of Albion, and David McAdoo and his wife, Patricia, of Erie. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State St., Albion, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Keepville Wesleyan Methodist Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Byron Gurnee officiating.
Burial will be private in Albion Cemetery.
