Beverly A. McAfoose

WARREN — Beverly A. McAfoose, 80, of Warren, formerly of Tionesta, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Warren General Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born on Feb. 18, 1933, in Venus, she was a daughter of B. Allen and Phoebe A. Miles Amsler.

She was a graduate of Shippenville High School.

On April 11, 1953, in Pine City Methodist Church, she married Roland C. McAfoose, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2012.

Beverly was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Leeper.

She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening.

Beverly is survived by her children, Carol Ruhlman and her husband, Dennis, of Warren; Rhonda Driver and her husband, John, of Erie; Clay McAfoose and his wife, Nanette, of Meadville; and Lisa Reeher and her husband, Matthew, of Tionesta; grandchildren, Christopher, Derek, Andrew, Cameron, Morgan, Emily, Mason and Adam; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Lyla, Adalynn, Connor and Reese; siblings, Richard Amsler and his wife, Helen, of Texas, Theodore Amsler and his wife, Judy, of Venus, Gene Amsler and his wife, Mary, of Venus, David Amsler and his wife, Roseanne, of Venus, Loren Amsler and his wife, Karen, of Venus, and Susan Heitzenrater and her husband, W. Drew, of Dewittville, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland; and sister, Donna Cotton.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Faller Funeral Home Inc., 19200 Route 208, Fryburg.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Faller Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Seth McPherson, pastor of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Venus Cemetery.

Memorials in Beverly’s name may be made to Good Shepherd Church Memorial Fund and Clarion-Forest VNA.
