CONNEAUTVILLE — Forrest (Baldy) Edgar Askey of Conneautville passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at his home.

He and his loving wife Betty had been together 62 years. She survives. 

He retired from the Ohio Rubber Co. after 30 years of service, where he served as union president at one time. He was a member of American Legion Post 615 and past commander. He spent many years as a volunteer with Little League. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by four children, Debra and her husband, Pete, Ron and his wife, Kim, Doug and his wife, Rita, and Rick and his wife, Missy; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Robert and his wife, Steph, and Thomas and his wife, MaryLou.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be private and at the convenience of his family.
