Ronald Luman Jackson, 80, of Meadville, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born March 25, 1933, in Erie, a son of the late Ernest K. and Nina Luman Jackson.
He had been employed as a tool and die maker, retiring from Plastek in Erie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had served in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army National Guard.
He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Hall of Meadville and Cheryl Jackson of Meadville; a son, Steven Jackson and his wife, Diane, of Rockingham, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Joshua Hall, Alexis Hall, Kari Jackson, Allison Jackson and Daniel Jackson. Also surviving is his former wife and friend, Barbara Filegar Jackson of Meadville; a sister, Marge Lollar of California; and two brothers, Randy Jackson and Tommy Jackson, both of California. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Jackson; his twin brother, Donald Jackson; three sisters, Dorothy Rickertt, Jean Cooper and Audrey Piantoni; and by two brothers, Eddie Jackson and Dave Jackson.
There will be no calling hours and the memorial service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
