CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS —
Nancy Lee Hurley, 77, of Cambridge Springs, and a lifelong resident of Crawford County, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 14, 1936, in New Richmond Township, Crawford County, a daughter of the late William and Emmeline McQuown Laipple. She married William J. Hurley on Oct. 9, 1954. He preceded her in death in November 1993.
She was a 1953 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School and had attended Allegheny College. She had been employed at Metropolitan Life Insurance in Erie, in the reference room of the library at Alliance College and then retired from the Lord Corporation, Cambridge Springs, after 27 years of service.
Nancy was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed caring for others.
She is survived by two sons, William J. Hurley and his wife, Theresa, both of Florida and Brazil, and Robert C. Hurley of Cambridge Springs; a grandson, Jacob Ryan Hurley of Florida; a cousin, Vivian Brown and her husband, Gerald, of Centerville; and special friends, Judy and Gale Wolfe, Shirley and Joe Mateja and Claudia and Gene Campbell.
The services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
