Dolores J. Buell Mitcham, 71, of Centerville, passed away at Corry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013. She was born Sept. 27, 1941, in Union City, a daughter of the late Vance and Betty Burger Buell.
She was a homemaker and attended Faith Bible Church of Union City.
Dolores was a loving Christian woman, wife, mother and grandmother. She was strong and always worked very hard taking care of her family’s needs. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, reading, caring for her pet cockatiel, camping, enjoying her grandchildren and reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vance Buell Sr.; and sisters, Patricia Bradley and Barbara Buell.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ronald E. Mitcham Sr., whom she married on Feb. 9, 1963, of Centerville; her mother, Betty Buell; daughters, Stacy McElhaney and Susan Wooley of Centerville; Robin Musiek and her husband, Jason, of Union City, and Kristina Smith and her husband, Kern, of Titusville; a son, Ronald Mitcham Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Centerville; a stepson, Ronald (Rick) VanTassel and his wife, Denise, of South Daytona, Fla.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Messina and her husband, Lewis, of Centerville; and brothers, Vance (Butch) Buell and his wife, Judy, of Oil City, and Lance Buell and his wife, Mary, of Corry.
Friends will be received at Robert M. Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 62 S. Main St., Union City, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend funeral services there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Trevor Brubaker will officiate with interment in Union Cemetery, Titusville.
