Clarence D. ‘Dave’ Bowman


THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Clarence D. “Dave” Bowman, 73, of The Villages, Fla., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. He was born in Allentown and moved to The Villages from Virginia in 2010.

Dave was a retired master chief in the U.S. Coast Guard and also retired from Marine Spill Response Corp. as the logistics and maintenance administrator.

He was an avid golfer as well as a member of The Villages Coast Guard Club, Fleet Reserve and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; mother, Dorothy; sister, Donna (Bob) Plants; brother, Larry; daughter, Debra Stanton; stepdaughter, JoAnn Gould; stepsons, Curtis and Matthew Zupko; four stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and dog, Max.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 134 N. Highway 27/441, Lady Lake, Fla.
