BLOOMING VALLEY — Delores M. Chismar, 77, of Blooming Valley, died at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013.

She was born Jan. 30, 1936, in Cochranton, a daughter of Carl and Virginia Gable Mook. She married Kenneth F. Chismar on Jan. 17, 1976, and he survives.

She was a school bus driver for Randolph/East Mead and worked in retail sales for several years at various local businesses, retiring in 1999. She and her husband also owned and operated the Blooming Valley Dairy Isle for many years.

She enjoyed painting, crafts, playing cards, fishing and hunting.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Kenneth, of 37 years, include a son, Steven Myers of Meadville; a daughter, Debra Stallard and her husband, Michael, of Meadville; a stepson, Steven Chismar of Meadville; four grandsons, Shawn Rhoades and his companion, Marcie Pifer, Joshua Rhoades and his wife, Amanda, Zachary Myers and his wife, Jen, and Taylor Myers; seven great-grandchildren; and her cat, Rusty.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marshall Lillie, chaplain of Hospice of Crawford County, officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
