Audrey Mae Hanmore, 87, formerly of Conneaut Lake, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Wesbury.
She was born Sept. 12, 1925, at Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of Charles and Blanche Chrisman Given. Audrey was married to Russell Hanmore; he passed in 1980.
She was a high school graduate and had worked as a cafeteria cook at Conneaut Lake grade school. She and her husband owned and maintained greenhouses.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening and fixing appliances.
Mrs. Hanmore is survived by two daughters, Roberta (Richard) Strawbridge of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Marquerite (Bruce) Patterson of Belle Vernon; and three sons, Ronald (Lisa) Hanmore of Conneaut Lake, Bernard (Lori) Hanmore of Conneaut Lake and Heath (Judy) Hanmore of Conneaut Lake. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jason Strawbridge, Stephanie Labonowski, Ginger Foster, Sean Patterson, Holly Blair and Carin Rudolph. Seven great-grandchildren are also surviving. Additionally, Mrs. Hanmore is survived by a brother, Gerald (Marjorie) Givens; two sisters, Valgene McFadden and Dorothy Carpenter, all of Ohio.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, granddaughter and grandson.
Visitation is today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake, Rocco R. Tedesco III, Supervisor.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Dickson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jay Sterling and Pastor Dave Brumagin, both of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake, officiating.
Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
