George W. Graff, 83, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late George and Helen (Trimmer) Graff. George retired as an operating engineer with Local 66 of the Operating Engineers after 52 years of service.
He was a founding member of the West County Snowmobile Club, he loved NASCAR, mowing his lawn, hunting and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vesta Robison.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice (Barnes) Graff, whom he married July 9, 1949; two sons, Ronald Graff and his wife, Jackie, of McKean and Darrell Graff and his wife, Robin, of Cranesville; three brothers, James Graff and his wife, Mary, of Indianapolis, Ind., Ken Graff and his wife, Wendy, of Albion and John Graff and his wife, Pam, of Elverso; two sisters, Helen Shufelt of Albion and Vivian McCall and her husband, Jerry, of Emlenton; four grandchildren, Julie, Ashley, Aaron and Scott; one great-grandchild, Easton; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 E. State St., Albion, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of a funeral service there at 11 a.m.
Private burial will be in Albion Cemetery.
