MEADVILLE — Grace Jean Rough, 2, of Meadville, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was born Dec. 13, 2010, to Elizabeth Hall and Joseph Rough in Meadville. She was a beautiful, energetic toddler who will be missed by many.

She loved the water and playing in the swimming pool. Her favorite toys include My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, her blue teddy bear and her favorite stuffed dog. She loved being a big sister to her 7-month-old sister, Georgia. She enjoyed getting all dressed up and then playing in the mud. She liked to ride in her “Daddy’s” trucks. Her favorite playmate and best friend was her cousin, Chloe, who was like a sister.

In addition to her parents, Grace is survived by her stepfather, Donald (Daddy) Hall; a sister, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Laurie Strange of Springboro and Steve Strange of Kentucky; maternal great-grandparents, Marge Ross of Meadville and Kenneth Ross of Pennsylvania; paternal grandparents, Martha and Harold Strange of Kentucky; maternal aunts and uncles, Alexander Strange and his fiancée, Ashley Wright, and their daughter, Chloe, of Erie, Abigail Strange, Craig Hanes, Benjamen Hanes, Joshua Hanes and Jacob Sargent, all of Springboro; paternal aunts, Jodie and Jennie Reynolds of Cochranton; stepaunt, Jessica Hawley and her husband, Matt, of Guys Mills; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends and family will be received at White-Cool Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral ceremony will take place Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Beaver Center Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Grace’s name to the funeral home to help with expenses. Close friends will organize a benefit to help with expenses in the near future.
