Beatrice (Teddy) Marie Fetterman, 101, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville.
She was born a daughter of the late James Edwin Mook and Dorotha Elva Foulk Mook on April 12, 1912, in Milledgeville.
She married Russell J. Fetterman. He preceded her in death in 1990. While Beatrice, by divine right, was denied children, she brought forth the love of mothers’ to all she encountered.
She was well known for her presence in the Stockton shop where she was a retail sales clerk and custom buyer.
She was extremely active in the Sweet Adelines. Everyone knew her for the numerous awards she won in various competitions.
“Teddy” was a name she carried throughout her life. Most did not know her by her given name. “She was always just Teddy.”
Teddy is survived by a nephew, Curtis Edwin Mook and caregiver, Kendra, of Meadville; and a great-nephew, Jason Edwin (Abby) Mook and their daughter, Adalyn, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Edwin Mook; and a sister, Eva Rickel.
At her request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
Teddy died peacefully in her sleep.
