Beverly Jean McGirr, 69, of Jamestown, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1943, in Meadville, the daughter of the late Leonard and Dora Mae (Williams) Johnson. She married Roy James McGirr Jr. on July 11, 1964, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2000.
She was a l961 graduate of Jamestown High School. She retired as a nurse’s aide from Millers Nursing Home in Andover, Ohio. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting as well as baking.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Coulter and her husband, David, of Salem, Ohio; two sons, Jonathan Roy McGirr and his wife, Susan, of Greenville, and Jeffrey McGirr of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Joshua McGirr, Roy James Cecil McGirr, James Pesano, Stephanie Pesano, Beverly Taylor and Jamie Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Matthew McGirr and James Pesano; and two brothers, Robert Johnson and his wife, Wanda, of Jamestown, and Gary Johnson and his wife, Lori, of Transfer.
Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Frantz; her father, Leonard Johnson; and by her husband, Roy James McGirr Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery, Jamestown.
