ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Roger E. Wayland, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, June 7, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., of complications from bladder cancer.
He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Roger is survived by Dot Wayland, his wife of 65 years; and their daughter, Taffey Wayland Maddox.
The family is originally from Freeport but moved to Meadville in 1969 when Roger transferred to the PPG plant in Cochranton. Roger and Dot moved to Albuquerque in 2004 to be closer to their daughter.
A “Celebration of Life” for Roger is planned for friends and family in Albuquerque.
