Gayl Edna Johnson, 71, of Meadville, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 23, 1941, in Elizabeth, N.J., a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Raymond MacMillan.
She was a graduate of Elizabeth High School. She retired from the Schering-Plough Company in New Jersey.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening and her many pets, including dogs, cats and others, that she had over the years, especially Sandy, Susie and Bear Bear, most recent three dogs.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Johnson, of Elizabeth; two sons, Vincent Johnson of Meadville and Mark Johnson of Trenton, N.J.; five grandchildren, Anthony Wood, Brittany Roberts, Chelsea Mills, Jaylyn Roberts and James Timothy Johnson; a sister, Lynn Brehm of Cranford, N.J.; a brother, Arthur MacMillan of southern California; and four nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sawikiy.
Family and friends may come and call on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m., with Pastor Temple Jarrell of the church officiating.
