Beatrice A. (Bea) Rough


MEADVILLE TRIBUNE

COCHRANTON — Beatrice A. (Bea) Rough, 71, of Cochranton, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born May 12, 1942 in Titusville, she was a daughter of Arthur and Bernie Everett White. She married Harold E. (Huck) Rough on April 14, 1962, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2013.

She was a 1960 graduate of Franklin High School. From 1968 to 1971, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Franklin Hospital and from 1974 to 1979 she worked at the former Mead Home in Meadville. She then decided to go to the Crawford County Vo-Tech to earn her CNA license and continued her nursing career with the Crawford County Visiting Nurses and also Heartfelt Nurses.

She was a member of Cochranton United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church’s choir, and she also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey L. Rough and his wife, Linda, of Carlton, and Douglas H. Rough and his companion, Lori, of Meadville; three grandchildren, Joseph and Trystan Rough, and Grace Rough; and a brother, Arthur White and his wife, Delores, of Wilmington, N.C.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel White.

Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Spencer of Cochranton United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Peters Cemetery, Canal Township.
