MEADVILLE — Dorothy B. Hefner Roseberry, 84, of Donna Drive, Meadville, formerly of Crossingville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1928, in Pickens, W.Va., a daughter of Evan Daniel Hefner and Lona Cartwright Hefner. She married Robert T. Roseberry Sr. on Aug. 17, 1947; he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1983.

Dorothy was a homemaker raising her family, but in her later years she worked at the Holiday Inn.

She enjoyed playing bingo and especially spending time with her family.

Dorothy was a former member of the Moose Lodge and was on the TV show “Queen for a Day.”

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth L. North of Greenville, and Mildred M. Carroll and her husband, David, of Meadville; four sons, Robert T. Roseberry Jr. and his wife, Della, of Ardmore, Ala., William T. Roseberry Sr. and his wife, Glenda, of Richlands, N.C., Frederick J. Roseberry and his wife, Crystal, of Clarks Mills, and James D. Roseberry and his wife, Charlene, of Edinboro; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Woolslayer of Erie and Annalee Stafford of Fairview; two brothers, James Hefner and his wife, Alice, of Erie, and Joseph Hefner and his fiancée, Peggy, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, Robert Sr., of 36 years, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Jessie Mae Blair, Marion Amory and Debra Schwab; three grandchildren, Lauren Schwab, Jennifer Rhoades and Scott Amory; and several brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Alice McClymonds officiating.

Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township.
