Eliza Akiam Scander, 64, of Cochranton, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center.
Born, April 9, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of William Loka and Mary Jones.
She was a homemaker, a housekeeper and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Meadville. She also enjoyed crocheting, her dog Jed, watching television and playing bingo.
Survivors include six daughters, Leslie Enos and her husband, Denny, of Youngsville, Bernadette Weilacher and her fiancé, Raymond Graves, of Warren, JoAnne Manuel and her husband, Larry, of Meadville, Elizabeth Reynolds and her husband, Harold (Jake), of Cochranton, Roberta Scander of Warren, and Bobbie Jo Scander and her fiancé, Steve Sallot, of Warren; five sisters and four brothers of Hawaii; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be noon Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 597 N. Park Ave. Ext., Meadville, with Bishop William Stallard officiating.
