Robert J. (Bobby) Hanus, 54, of Cochranton, formerly of Springdale, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Sept. 5, 1959, in Pittsburgh to his parents, the late John and Joann Ryan Hanus.
He had resided in Springdale for many years before moving to Cochranton.
Bobby was of the Catholic faith and always had an story to tell that made him so special. He belonged to the Station 4 Firemen’s Club in Cochranton.
Among his interests were his gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing and playing the drums. Bobby enjoyed wood carving where he would make walking canes with intricate detail, but most of all he appreciated his farm and all the animals he had on it. He was most happy when he was sitting on his tractor working on his farm. Bobby will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors are his loving wife, Marcie McCann Hanus; dear brother, Danny Hanus of Indianola; and many loving nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father, Ronald J. Adams; and two brothers, Jack and Rickie Hanus.
