Melvin Lewis Williams, 80, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born April 16, 1933, in Guys Mills, a son of John and Retta Williams. He married Joanne Lance.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as an auto body technician for Howick Auto Body and Dillaman Brothers.
Melvin enjoyed fishing, camping and rebuilding cars.
He is survived by a son, Russell Williams and his wife, Coriena, of Meadville; two grandchildren, Alex Williams of Meadville and U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Justin Williams of Camp Lejeune; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.
There will be no calling hours or services.
Memorial donations may be made in Melvin’s memory to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
