Alice Stallsmith Hayes Kearns


NORRISVILLE — Alice Stallsmith Hayes Kearns, 86, of Norrisville, passed away at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, on Friday, June 14, 2013.

She was born the daughter of the late Emory Stallsmith and Nora Peterson Stallsmith in Cochranton.

Alice was a member of Norrisville United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and had cooked for the Crawford County Care Center, Rolling Fields and the former David Mead Inn. She was a member of Eureka Grange. She enjoyed garage sales. Flowers were a favorite of hers. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a profound appreciation for her neighbors, especially Merle and June Foster and Jan Gilliland.

She is survived by a son, Harold and his wife, Lori, Hayes; a daughter, Nora Kay and her husband, David, Luzier; four stepsons, James, Gary, William and Ronald Kearns; a stepdaughter, Kathy Diller; six grandchildren, Larry and his wife, Summer, Hawk, Denise Ford, Kevin Hayes, Linette Hayes, Stephen and his wife, Yari, Luzier, and Eric Luzier; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Kearns; a daughter, Louise Hawk; a great-grandson, Corey Hawk; a stepbrother, Walter Mook; and a stepson, Gordon Kearns.

Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a funeral on Tuesday at 11 a.m., all at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville.
