COCHRANTON — R. Dale McCormick, 58, resided with his caregivers, Randy and Susan McCartney, at 7650 Mallard Road, Cochranton. He died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at 8:02 a.m. at UPMC Hamot, Erie. He was born April 8, 1955, in Brownsville to the late Ralph William McCormick and Betty McCombs McCormick of Jamestown.

He attended Jamestown Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed bowling in the Crawford County Special Olympics and he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his mother, he’s survived by two sisters, Nancy Cyphert and her husband, Ken, of Titusville, Fla.; and Linda Volosin and her husband, Dave, of Jamestown; and two nephews, Eric Cyphert of Vandergrift and Bill Volosin of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, John and Mary McCormick; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ida McCombs; and a niece, Wendy Davis.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Randall Funeral Home, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald F. Stanley Jr. from Jamestown Presbyterian Church officiating.

Family request donations be made to the Crawford County Special Olympics, 222 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa. 16335, in lieu of flowers.
