MEADVILLE — George Benjamin (Bo) Dewey Jr., 60, of Meadville, passed away at home Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.

He was born April 9, 1952, in South Charleston, W.Va., a son of George B. and Susan Scott Dewey Sr.

He worked as an aid at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community since 1979 and previously worked for Goodwill Industries in Oil City. George attended the Home for Crippled Children (now The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh), the Elwyn Institute near Philadelphia and Polk State School. He was an avid lover of classic American cars and he studied the presidents. He also enjoyed oldies and big band music and had an interest in old radios, televisions and telephones.

He is survived by a sister, Isabel D. Seavey and her husband, Fredrick, of Warren, Ohio; three brothers, Scott M. Dewey, L. Henry Dewey and his wife, Deborah, and William M. Dewey, all of Meadville; three nephews, Sinclair Adam Seavey and his wife, Kathryn, Alexander M. Dewey and Ryan S. Dewey; three nieces, Katherine Seavey Sanford and her husband, Jeff, Emily E. Dewey and Whitney S. Dewey; and four great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The memorial service will be Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville, with the Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
