COCHRANTON — Myrtle Arvilla McDaniel, 89, formerly of Cochranton and Meadville, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown.

Born Feb. 19, 1924, in Hannaville, she was the daughter of Alfred and Evelyn Huffman Miller. She married Willard McDaniel on Jan. 4, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2003.

She was a homemaker and attended the Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth McDaniel and his wife, Brenda, of Cochranton and Joseph McDaniel and his wife, Bonnie, of Meadville; two grandchildren, Jason McDaniel and his wife, Karyl, of New York and Jennifer Mast and her husband, David, of Canton, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Joey and Molly McDaniel and Ashley and Hope Mast; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Miller; three sisters, Ruth Reisinger, Florence Stearns and Margaret Rhoades; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Ranee Mast.

Friends will be received at Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. William R. Peak and the Rev. Daniel Kaufman, of the Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
