Edward L. Zuck

GUYS MILLS — Edward L. Zuck, 69, of Guys Mills, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at UPMC Hamot, Erie.

He was born Dec. 14, 1943, in West Hickory, a son of Howard M. and Marjorie Gifford Zuck. He married Lois Miller on April 15, 1967.

Ed was a 1961 graduate of Tidioute High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964 and was stationed in Germany. He was employed for many years as a journeyman pipefitter with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 47. He previously worked at FMC and Talon.

Ed was affiliated with Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Guys Mills, and was a former member of the Meadville Club. He enjoyed golfing, reading, Civil War history, formerly riding motorcycles, and was an excellent athlete and baseball player growing up.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife, Lois, of 46 years, include three daughters, Lisa Reynolds and her husband, Daniel, of Ulster, Mary Burchard and her husband, John, of Meadville, and Diane Worley and her husband, Michael, of Saegertown; a son, Christopher Blair of Erie; a brother, Dennis Zuck of Tidioute; seven grandchildren, India, Daniel, Samuel, Sydney, Ella, Jack and Grace; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Connor.

Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alice McClymonds, pastor of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville.
