CHESTER, Calif. —
Kenneth E. Saylor, 75, of Chester, Calif., formerly of Greenville, has passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 7, 1937, he was the son of Oscar and Matilda M. Saylor.
Prior to his move to California in 1985, he worked at Greenville Steel Cart and Chicago Bridge and Iron, Greenville. In Chester, he owned and operated his own weld shop, the Feather River. He loved to hunt and fish and be in the nature.
He is survived by four daughters, Laura Shetler and husband, Ron, of Atlantic, Susan Saylor of Meadville, Rose Brennon and husband, Bruce, of St. Marys and Cheryl Platton of Ohio; two brothers, Darrell Saylor and his wife, Dottie, of Hadley and Ralph Saylor and his wife, Kathy, of Greenville; three sisters, Beverly Hebert and her husband, Clifford, of Conneaut Lake, Brenda Bernard and her husband, Chuck, of Transfer and Linda Truax and her husband, Leroy, of Greenville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two wives, Mary Ross Saylor and Sandi Saylor.
A memorial service will be held on Aug. 18 at 12:30 p.m. for family and friends at West Salem Firehall.
