SAEGERTOWN — Gary C. Knott of Oak Drive, Saegertown (Hayfield Township), passed away at 12:24 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013, at his residence following a period of declining health.

He was born June 17, 1942, in Saginaw, Mich., a son of George R. and Celia Schultz Knott. He had been employed by the former True Temper Corp. of Ashtabula, Ohio, until its closing.

Gary was an avid pool player and enjoyed participating on the league at the Spillway Inn, Linesville.

He is survived by a son, Gary S. Knott and his wife, Carrie, of Erie; his companion, Martha Lehmiller of Saegertown; two stepsisters, Grace Cook of Geneva, Ohio, and May Ann Ladner of Conneaut Lake; and two grandchildren, Mariah and Kalli Knott of Erie; and Georgianne Knott of Linesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Stephen Knott.

Friends may call at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at rlsfh.com.

The funeral service and committal will be on Thursday evening at 7 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Bowser, pastor of Sheakleyville United Methodist Charge, officiating.

The interment will follow at Blooming Valley Cemetery.
