MEADVILLE — Known to her friends and family as Polly, Pauline A. (Dutch) Lowery passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014.

She was born in Meadville on Dec. 16, 1939, the first of three children for John and Helen Dutch. The family lived in Vernon Township for many years.

Polly graduated from the old Meadville High School, just off of Diamond Park, and went on to Montefiore Medical School in Pittsburgh. In the mid-1960s, she moved to the warmer climate of Pensacola, Fla. There she met her husband, Gerald Lowery, and had two daughters, Barbara and Deborah. Later she moved to Panama City, Fla., and then to Dothan, Ala. During her working career, she held positions in the medical field, in senior care and as a legal aide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lowery; a daughter, Barbara Lowery; a brother, John Dutch; and her parents, John and Helen Dutch.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Lowery in Dothan, Ala.; a grand-daughter, Nicole Lowery in Louisville, Ky.; a grand-daughter, Tiffany  Allen and her husband, Chris, in Valdosta, Ga.;  and a brother, Jim Dutch and his wife, Kay, in Dimondale, Mich.
