GREENVILLE — Richard J. (Bernie) Mohra, 87, of 10 E. Windridge Road, Hempfield Township, Greenville, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at St. Paul’s Home after a brief illness.

He was born in Meadville on Jan. 28, 1926, a son of Joseph Mohra and Mary Weimer Mohra.

Bernie was a graduate of Conneautville High School. He retired from Chicago Bridge & Iron Co., Greenville, where he had worked as a truck driver for 31 years. After retirement he worked as a coach operator at Anderson Coach and Travel for 15 years.

He was a member and past trustee of Adamsville Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Eureka Masonic Lodge 290 and Elks Lodge 145, both of Greenville, and a social member of Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department Station 3. Bernie enjoyed golfing, bowling, walking and working outside in his yard.

He married Betty I. Spencer on Nov. 22, 1950; she survives at home.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three bothers, George Mohra, Edward Mohra and Joseph Mohra; and two sisters, Mary Barickman and Frances Koss.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. by Eureka Masonic Lodge 290.

The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Adamsvilie Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Harry Johns, pastor of the church, officiating.

Burial with committal will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville.
