UNION CITY —
Roy Laverne Cooper, 72, of Union City, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013. He was born Dec. 7, 1940, in Meadville, a son of the late Carl Laverne and Anna Mae Blystone Cooper.
Roy loved to work and tinker with things to fix or understand how they worked.
He worked for Teledine Penn Union of Edinboro until his retirement.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. Shearer Cooper, in 2004; and by two sons, Barry A. and Brian Cooper.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Capron and her husband, Bob, of Cambridge Springs, and Becky Cooper of Union City, and a son, Bart Cooper and his wife, Judy, of Cambridge Springs; a sister, Marie Williams and her husband, Ken, of Corry; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call at Robert M. Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 62 S. Main St., Union City, today from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at 1:30 p.m.
Interment will be in Mill Village Cemetery.
