Paul L. Brown, 89, of Springboro passed away at Rolling Fields Inc. of Conneautville, Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
He was born March 22, 1924, in Buena Vista, Pa., to the late Theodore Roosevelt Brown and Mabel Grace McGinnis Brown. He married Mary Hillberry, she survives.
He was a truck driver with Greenleaf Corp. of Saegertown, retiring after 26 years. He was of Protestant faith. Paul was a passionate wood worker. He enjoyed gardening. As a younger man he was known for his dancing, often dancing the night away. He was a true Pennsylvanian living all his life in Pennsylvania except for 18 years when he lived in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Springboro; six children, James LeRoy (Sandy) Brown of Conneautville, Charles William (Deanna) Brown of Summerville, Benjamin (Connie) Brown of Conneautville, Carol Anne (Donald) Bailey of Linesville, Thomas Duane (Jane) Brown of Linesville and Dawn Kathleen Royal of Meadville; three stepdaughters, Judie Hornstrum of Erie, Barb (Kent) Barron of Lake City and Dorothy (Steve) Szymczak of Barboursville, Va.; two stepsons, Richard (Bobbie) Graves of York and James (S.J.) Graves of North Carolina; a half brother, Theodore R. Brown of Conneaut Lake; stepbrother, Gene Funk of Conneaut, Ohio; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Verdane, and Vance Brown; and a step-brother, John Funk.
Arrangements are under the direction of White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, where a memorial service will be held Sunday, May 26, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Marshall Lillie of Hospice of Crawford County Inc. officiating.
