ERIE — Geraldine Hall Poux, 86, of Erie, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in the presence of her family on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.

She was born in Guys Mills on Dec. 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Guy and Ellen Morgan Hall.

She graduated from Randolph High School and State Teachers College of Indiana. She taught at Randolph High School in Guys Mills and in Jamestown, Ohio. She married William J. Poux in August 1952.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Poux, in 1996; an infant daughter, Jeanne, in 1963; a daughter, Debbie, in 2006; and a son, John, in 2012.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Beth Poux of Dover and Anne Poux of Erie; four grandchildren, Jessica and Austin Smith and Mathew and Andrew Lechtner; a daughter-in-law, Frani Lechtner; a sister, Catherine Barry; sisters-in-law, Claire Hall, Audrey Lavery and Gerry Poux; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call today at Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home Inc., 2502 Sassafras St., Erie, from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Saturday at St. Luke’s Church at 10 a.m. Send condolences to kloeckerfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Kanzius Cancer Research.
