WHITEVILLE, N.C. —
Marilyn F. Dine (formerly Burchard) passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, after at short battle with lung cancer.
Marilyn was born in Meadville on Oct. 25, 1947, to Harry and Martha Kirk Burchard and resided in New Richmond until retirement when she moved to Whiteville, N.C.
Marilyn was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed ceramics and sewing.
Marilyn was proceeded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Martha, of Meadville; husband, Clarence (Dutch) of Whiteville; brothers, Dale Burchard of Houston, Texas, and Don Burchard of Carlisle; daughters, Kim Galford and significant other, Jesse Merritt, of Venango, and Mignon Dine of Cornelius, N.C.; grandson, Tim (TJ) Galford of Venango, and “adopted daughter,” Asa Marit Oppedal Starr, of Oslo, Norway; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
There will be no public view or memorial at this time.
A public memorial service will be held in the fall, her favorite season.
